The Lifehouse Church is a community of believers committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and passionately pursuing the welfare of our city.
Our vision is to be a body established wholely on the Word of God.
WE EXALT
Worship is vital in the life of the local church. The question in our lives is not will we worship but rather who/what we will. The Lifehouse seeks to be centered on the only Person worthy of true worship (John 4:24) – Jesus Christ. The gospel is the story of Jesus who left the culture of heaven, in all its perfection, to enter ours – filled with sin, brokenness, and destruction – to reconcile through the cross (Colossians 1:19-21) people from every tongue, tribe, and nation. Knowing what we were saved from and the majesty of our Savior, we seek to exalt Christ in every facet of our lives.
WE EMBRACE
The gospel compels us to take up the mission of Jesus Christ – to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). As those who have been reconciled to God, we seek to pour out our lives in striving to be ambassadors of reconciliation to a lost and broken world. (See 2 Corinthians 5) This pushes us to prayerfully pursue others in order to lovingly show mercy from a position of humility to the broken, to each other, and to our city; seeking justice for those who cannot seek it for themselves. (Matthew 9:13, Amos 5:24)
WE EQUIP
The church is not a building but the people of God. In Christ’s leading of the disciples, we see the pattern for being equipped for service. He, through life and message, transformed His followers into those who seek to be fully present, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). We strive to guard our life and our doctrine (1 Timothy 4:16). Paul’s relationship with the Thessalonian church gives us a pattern: “being so affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us” (1 Thess 2:8). This is gospel-driven, Word-saturated, intentional one-anothering. It is men and women regularly, humbly, and lovingly teaching one another to obey what Jesus commanded.
